We collect information you provide directly (account name, email or phone) and information generated when you use the app (narration history, usage counters). We do not collect location data in the background unless you enable Background GPS mode. While a session is active, we read your precise GPS location to select and describe nearby places; your location itself is used only in the moment and is not stored — what we retain instead is the resulting distance and direction to each place we narrate, and that place's own location, as part of your narration history. When your device can determine them, we also read and retain your ground speed and direction of travel from the same location fix, and, when available, your device's compass heading (which way the phone is physically pointing); unlike your location, none of these readings on its own reveals where you are or have been, and we keep them to understand and improve how the app selects and times narrations.
If POI creation is enabled for your account and you create Points of Interest, we additionally collect and store the content you provide: place name, category, address, optional GPS coordinates, narration text, and any images you upload. Uploaded images are stored in cloud object storage and may be delivered to other users of the service as part of narrations. You may delete your POIs and associated images at any time from within the app.
When you visit locivoice.com via a marketing link, we record a hashed IP address (not the raw address), browser user agent, referring page, screen/locale information, and the campaign tag from the link. We do not use cookies or cross-site tracking for this, and we do not use advertising identifiers (no IDFA/AAID, no ATT prompt).
The website itself sets one strictly-necessary cookie — a CSRF-protection token — when you load a page containing a form, such as the Contact page. This cookie holds no personal information and is not used for tracking, profiling, or analytics.
If you submit our Contact form, we collect the name, email address, optional company name, and message you provide. We store the submission and forward it by email to our support team so we can respond to you. We use this information only to respond to your enquiry.
We use your information to provide and improve the LociVoice service, generate location-aware narrations, process payments, and manage your account.
We share data with infrastructure providers (cloud hosting, AI model providers) only as necessary to operate the service. All providers are bound by data processing agreements. We disclose data when required by law.
California residents may request to know, delete, or opt out of the sale of personal information. To exercise these rights contact (loading…). We do not sell personal information.
Precise geolocation processed during an active session is "Sensitive Personal Information" under the CPRA. We use it only in the moment, to generate your narrations and enforce plan limits, and do not store it. You may direct us to limit its use by emailing (loading…) with the subject "Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information". In the preceding 12 months we collected the categories of information described in Section 1 and disclosed them only to the service providers described in Section 6 (Data Sharing), for the business purposes described in Section 5. We do not sell or share sensitive personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any CCPA/CPRA right. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with your written permission; we may still require you to verify your identity directly.
Account data, along with your session and conversation history, is retained for as long as your account is active. Your precise location during a session is not part of that retained history; we keep the resulting distance/direction to each narrated place, and, when available, the speed/heading readings described in Section 1, instead. Website contact-form submissions are retained for as long as needed to resolve your enquiry and a reasonable period afterward for support recordkeeping, then deleted. You may request deletion of your data at any time.
LociVoice is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (COPPA).
We use industry-standard encryption (TLS in transit, AES-256 at rest) and access controls to protect your data.
LociVoice is designed for users in the United States. If you access the app from outside the United States, you may still contact (loading…) with any privacy questions or requests, and we will respond as appropriate under applicable law.
We share data only with providers bound by data processing agreements, limited to what each needs to do its job: cloud hosting and storage; AI content-generation providers; mapping and places-data providers; payment processors (Stripe for card payments; Apple and Google for in-app purchases); and, if you contact us, our email provider. We do not share data with data brokers.
